A Message From Paige Krumsick

I am competing for people's choice during Spiva in Bloom! Support me with a monetary donation. The floral artist that raises the most money will receive 50% of the total amount and 50% will go to George A. Spiva Center for the Arts to help with things like scholarships, outreach, classes, camps and more. Thank you for your consideration! My statement for this piece: My piece titled “Hand-in-Glove: Pink Lady Blues” is centered around the soft femininity the pink gloves convey in the foreground contrasted by the harsher gray masculine background. I chose delicate, vintage florals to portray romance and softness found in the gloves then chose the angular, solid container to represent the masculine. My interpretation of this work can be thought of as both literal and figurative. To me, my reference piece and my interpretation represent dichotomies: strength and delicacy, color and contrast, masculine and feminine.
