I am honored to be participating in the People’s Choice competition during Spiva in Bloom. You can support my floral design with a monetary donation. The artist who raises the most will receive 50% of the total funds raised, while the remaining 50% directly benefits the George A. Spiva Center for the Arts, supporting scholarships, educational outreach, classes, camps, and community programming. Thank you for your thoughtful support! My artist statement: I’ve been creative my whole life and have only recently became a florist. I love getting to create beautiful art that invokes so much emotion in people. It touches them in their happiest and saddest moments and it’s such an honor to create pieces for them in all stages of life. This piece was inspired by the beautiful photograph Midnight Illusion. It seemed very dark and moody to me. The unknown of the ocean, the uncertainty of where your place may be. I hope that my floral arrangement conveys that as well with pieces that draw the eye in every which way the same as being in the middle of the ocean.
